Dynamic Virtual Storage Grid for Mobile Web Access

Advancement in wireless infrastructure for data access through third generation wireless and wi-fi technologies makes it possible to use mobile devices for various activities and transactions involving Internet. Several proposals have been made to provide data nearer to user. In this paper, we propose multiple overlay networks to provide a network infrastructure to support quick and efficient mobile access to the web. The proposed overlay networks are storage overlay network to provide immediate access to personal information, xspot server overlay network to manage hotspots and to deliver both personal and public information, and cache overlay network to act as a vehicle for proactive and reactive information dissemination.
